Strictly Corporate Ballroom Dance- Off
Seven glittering couples from the corporate restructuring and financial services world battled it out on the London Park Lane Hilton hotel’s dance floor on 27 June 2013 at the R3’ Strictly Dancing Event.
The event hosted by Natalie Cassidy saw the couples perform a dance routine in front of 400 of their work colleagues. The celebrity judging panel of Ricky Groves, Mollie Clode, Richard Arnold and Penny Smith were treated to a range of ballroom dances from a Foxtrot to a Paso Doble.
The impressive line up of professionally trained dancers included a fist pumping Paso Doble from SIA Group’s own Paul Craig and MAB Law’s Christina Fitzgerald. The judges were so impressed with the aggression, attitude and dramatic dance moves that Paul and Christina scored three 10’s and a 9 – the highest score on the night.
The event in aid of The Debbie Fund, a cervical cancer charity and Orchid, a male cancer charity was a resounding success and the evening raised over £40,000.
Although Paul and Christina performed on the dance floor, the Matt Bond Glitter Ball trophy was awarded to the couple who raised the most money for the charities. Raising over £7,000 Locke Lord’s Ayesha Hasan and Moon Beevers Richard Saunders were victors on the night with a superb fund-raising effort. R Capital’s Katie Broome and KPMG’s Sorrelle Cooper took second place with a well executed 9 to 5 dance routine, with Paul Craig and Christina Fitzgerald taking third place.
